I’d like to share a note that Zhou Youguang, the father of Pinyin, very generously wrote to me last week.

You are so honoured! Congratulations!
Wow, it’s amazing! Maybe he can break the world record :p
Congratulations and, again, keep up with the good work.
That’s a great honor. I haven’t yet participated in the comments part of this website, but I appreciate your work immensely and read it often.

and the pinyin

Apart from careful proof-reading, the transcription errors could actually be avoided if one knows that a neat structure is usually preferred.
I am having serious charset problems here. Normally I don’t have any problems displaying Chinese text.
I can’t read all the characters, neither.
I tried Unicode(UTF-8), Unicode(UTF-16LE), Big5, Big5-HKSCS, GBK, and GB18030 and the problems remains
Can anyone help me?
I have a problem displaying the Chinese text as well….
Yeah me too, Jens. I don’t have any problem viewing cn or jp text on any other site.
Guys, the site got hacked and the blog’s encoding has been FUBAR ever since. If anyone knows how to fix it, I’d appreciate hearing about it.
