Near the school are some interesting signs. Rather than giving individual posts for each of these, I&#8217;m keeping the signs together in this one, as this is better testimony to the increasing and often playful diversity of languages and scripts in Taiwan. <\/p>\n<p><strong>C&#462;o Chu&#224;n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a restaurant whose name is given in Pinyin with tone marks! That&#8217;s quite a rarity here, though I suspect we&#8217;ll be seeing more of this in the future. The name in Chinese characters (&#33609;&#20018;) can be found, much smaller, on a separate sign below. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/news\/news_photos\/2015\/11\/cao_chuan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/news\/news_photos\/2015\/11\/cao_chuan.jpg\" alt=\"cao_chuan\" width=\"500\" height=\"889\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6888\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/news\/news_photos\/2015\/11\/cao_chuan.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pinyin.info\/news\/news_photos\/2015\/11\/cao_chuan-169x300.jpg 169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#20108;&#21733;&#12398;&#29275;&#32905;&#40629;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Right by Cao Chuan is &#200;rg&#275; de Ni&#250;r&#242;umi&#224;n (Second Brother&#8217;s Beef Noodle Soup).
