As part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sinolingua.com.cn\/\">Sinolingua<\/a>&#8216;s <em>Abridged Chinese Classic Series<\/em>, all three volumes in <span class=\"py\">B&#257; J&#299;n<\/span>&#8216;s &#8220;torrents&#8221; trilogy (<span class=\"py\">J&#299;li&#250; s&#257;nb&#249;q&#468;<\/span> \/ &#28608;&#27969;&#19977;&#37096;&#26354;) are now available in abridged editions in word-parsed Hanyu Pinyin (with Chinese characters underneath), along with a few notes in English and mp3 files of the text being read aloud. <\/p>\n<p>These books would make great material for those who are <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>studying Mandarin<\/li>\n<li>trying to memorize Chinese characters<\/li>\n<li>learning Hanyu Pinyin<\/li>\n<li>wanting to read something in Mandarin that isn&#8217;t too <a href=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/readings\/texts\/moser.html\">damn hard<\/a> but isn&#8217;t a children&#8217;s book either<\/li>\n<li>looking for something to read in Mandarin that doesn&#8217;t require much or even any knowledge of Chinese characters (ABCs and other &#8220;overseas Chinese,&#8221; take note!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through the generousity of the publisher, <strong>Pinyin.info now offers sample chapters<\/strong> from each of these three classics of twentieth-century Chinese literature <em>along with audio files of the text being read aloud<\/em>. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/readings\/ba_jin\/family\/\"><span class=\"py\">Ji&#257;<\/span> (&#23478;\/<em>Family<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/readings\/ba_jin\/spring\/\"><span class=\"py\">Ch&#363;n<\/span> (&#26149;\/<em>Spring<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pinyin.info\/readings\/ba_jin\/autumn\/\"><span class=\"py\">Qi&#363;<\/span> (&#31179;\/<em>Autumn<\/em>)<\/a> (2 chapters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m very pleased to offer samples from these books on this site and hope these editions will be enjoyed by many readers worldwide and become standard texts in many classrooms. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This bit of news is simply wonderful.
