Today’s featured article on Wikipedia is the one on the Gwoyeu Romatzyh romanization system for Mandarin. Congratulations, Nigel and all the other contributors!
I’m saddened to learn that Nigel Greenwood, whose knowledge of Gwoyeu Romatzyh helped considerably enrich the Wikipedia article on that romanization system, died earlier this month at the age of 64.
I will miss the pleasure of our occasional correspondence.
